VOLUNTEER FOR FALL FUNDRAISING AND BOOK COLLECTIONS!

Most of the summer has been spent building partnerships with Philippines-based organizations, among them Tahimik sa Tondo Reading Center, the Senora de Guia Parish of Magallanes Cavite, and Rizal Technological University in Mandaluyong. We visited all three partner locations to meet with the Program Coordinators as well as our precious little clients, the children from these neighborhoods who will be benefitting from the books you and others have been kind enough to donate and send to their reading rooms.

Through the help of BKP Philippines, all three partner organizations also received free training on the Concentrated Language Encounter (CLE), the supplementary teaching method used in BKP libraries. Close to 100 volunteers, composed of retired and active teachers, parents, students and regular folks like us were trained in three separate full days of training in July and early August.
